shubho bijoya

I started implementing the idea of creating the blog yesterday which was Dussera or Vijaya Dasmi. My Bangali friends and relatives wishes "Shubho Bijoya" and with these words I start blogging.

Last few days of Navratri has been the travel time. My self and Leena visited the central Gujarat  area which has good forest and some water bodies.

The Jungle is of Panchmahal and Vadodara dricts, where the roads are good. Big water bodies like Sukhi dam is located and the teak leaves have started turning from green to light brown.

The rush to Pawagadh during  Navratri  was amazing. I saw huge number of pilgrims on cycles. They are normally from Madhya Pradesh.  They move with colourfully decorated cycles which was a  great sight.

The spots we visited were not many. But if u see carefully each tree in the jungle is like a monument. The tribal population is spread in small  helmets and clusters. These adivasi community has given pithora, rathwa and warly paintings to the world.

On the way to Janbughoda we visited Champaner mosque which is now world heritage site.
We could view Pawagadh hill from distance. Evening pics are taken from the byepass road to Halol.

On Dussera our Rajput friends worship their weapons. I feel we all should learn from this parampara and keep our "astra shastra" like mind, body and intellect agile.

Leena and Nirav will keep posting some things in terms of thoughts like this in random manner. I being an architect, think in terms of sketches. On Vijya Dasmi we have started with pics ..
